Faculty development is one of the critical component and important in enhancing the quality of technical education system. Well structured faculty development programme will fine tune the faculty members to hone their pedagogy skills, become affluent in the classroom management and in general redefining the teaching learning process towards the attainment of course outcomes. Educational leadership focus towards the following three attributes viz., content, pedagogy and effective communication and this training programme wish to provide the same. This course would cover the following content: (a) Teaching learning process; (b) Redefining instructional objectives to meet course outcome; (c) Instructional Planning; (d) Technology enabled Teaching Learning Process; and (e) Fundamental of Student Evaluation; We would also cover the research underlying these topics and adopt different pedagogies in learning the content. The course is delivered in an interactive format and would require sufficient preparation for each session and active participation by the participants. This Course is proper blend of lecture, demonstration and guided practice session. Course explores the class handling through the principle of teach, touch and transform. The training methodology includes face to face lectures by resource persons followed by discussions, blended method of guided practice session, experience sharing, individual and group tasks.
The learning activities in the each lecture are distributed in such a way to ensure the achievement of the learning objectives in a flexible manner. In fact there are guidedpractice sessions with precise deadlines to be observed. We solicit the kind cooperation of the participants for the fruitful session ahead.
